The two facilities work well together to provide a joint service to customers in the area. The coming together of the two companies is particularly sweet given their mutual success in last years’ Bank of Scotland Entrepreneurial Challenge – with Fresh Direct reaching the Southern finals, and Parkfresh the Northern finals. Both company’s success was recently reiterated at the annual re:fresh trade awards with Parkfresh taking the Regional Foodservice Supplier of The Year Award and Fresh Direct the National and Overall Trader accolades.

Fresh Direct Local (North West) previously traded as Parkfresh, and is now part of the Fresh Direct organisation. Based in Skelmersdale, the company enhances the service that Fresh Direct provides in the North from our Manchester operation.
Founded nearly 20 years ago by Boyd Park, ParkFresh have a similar product profile to that of Fresh Direct, and serve a large number of independents in the North West.
